Frosty is a 6 year old white donkey with a few small black spots in his coat and dark eyes (not an albino ) . He is a gelding . Frosty has lived most of his life on the range with cattle , not halter broken yet , but it shouldn't take long to teach him that . Frosty is 13 hands tall with strong bone , good conformation , great hooves (no founder ) and sound . If you're looking for a donkey to live with your livestock or for a donkey strong enough to teach a colt or calf to lead , here he is !... (read more) If you're looking for a pet, Frosty can become one with kindness and understanding on the part of his new owner . Frosty is not child safe now but ,I believe, can become that with gentle handling and TLC ..
Donkeys do best when fed grass or grass hay , water , mineral , salt and a limited amount of grain ,( especially corn and sweet feed) . Too much grain or alfalfa hay may lead to founder , a crippling and permanent hoof deformity .
