Additional Comments
Daisy is a lovely mare with an excellent foundation, who is ready to go in any direction. She is best suited to a confident rider/handler as she is not always the most confident mare. She is very good in new places, any tension/excitement (which only causes her to be a bit fidgety, at worst) is gone with a very brief lunge or warm-up. Hauls/travels well, no buck/bolt/rear, excellent ground manners, bathes, ties, (haven't tried clippers yet).... (read more)
She is very willing to pack around her rider, but prefers quiet hands/seat. Not hot, but not a kick-ride either. Very correct, ride-from-the-leg type of horse. Has buttons for an educated rider, but totally willing to hack around with someone with less expectations.
She is currently schooling training level dressage and basic lateral work, schooling 2'3" fences (cross-country, including a small ditch, and showjumping), free jumped to 2'9", lovely form over fences. Started on her changes, not consistent yet. Very willing, and honest but does need a partner who will continue to progressively build up her experience. She IS a horse who could get over-faced. She is very comfortable in the 2'-2'3" range, and is ready to move up. Great over scary jumps/fill, just likes to have a look at them first.
Totally ready to get competing! No show experience, but has been put into a wide range of settings, pushing her abilities, including a warm-up arena type of setting. Great to ride in a group, or on her own. Likes to have a look at things, but is not a spooky mount. Has been exposed to kids, (crazy) dogs, ridden all over our pasture where she has seen deer, moose, cattle, foxes, and birds flying from out of no where.
Suitable for a committed YR/AA looking for an all-around horse, with a lovely disposition, or would make a nice addition for a professional's personal mount that they could use in their lesson/lease program.*Will not go strictly as a lesson horse. Must get to have her own person to enjoy. Must be in a consistent program. Daisy has been hauled to, and ridden in various indoor arenas (and outdoor while the weather was good!).
