Breeding, Dressage, Equitation, Experienced, Hunter Under Saddle
Kaila is well-bred, with some of the old, wonderful stallions up close in her pedigree. Damascus & Never Bend (twice). Nasrullah & Turn-to further back.
I also owned Kaila's mom, who was a super talented jumper & dressage horse.
Kaila has 3 lovely foals. Laya, her oldest is jumping 4'. Probably can jump way higher, but just taking things slowly with her training. Laya is also turning into a fancy dressage horse.... (read more) Laya is around 16.3.
Her 2nd baby is 2, and already 16.2. Going to be big. So while Kaila is 16 hands, she clearly throws big babies.
Kaila's 3rd baby was born in May. The lessee said the colt jumped out of their pen at 2 months. Going to be another very nice horse.
Kaila was injured when she was fairly young. I have jumped her up to 3'6", which seemed quite easy for her. But I decided to breed her since her injury seemed to be causing her some pain landing from higher jumps. She is also a lovely lower level dressage horse. A beautiful mover with incredibly smooth gaits.
Kaila may or may not be suitable for low jumping now.. She has been out of my care for quite a while, so not sure. When I started her back under saddle before her current lease after not having been ridden for years, she remembered her dressage & was lovely to ride.
On or off-site lease considered. Open to suggestion.
