This mare was trained for a career in western pleasure when she was 2-3 years old, she was then shown at local shows and did some trail riding. Afterwards she was sitting in a pasture for a few years before being brought back to work.... (read more) When saddled up again after several years off, it was as though she'd never missed a day!
She has been ridden by professionals, intermediate riders and children! If you want a horse that's a star in an arena, a forward mover on the trail, or a horse to learn more on: come check her out. She is a good, sweet horse who is very affectionate and will probably do anything for a cookie. Thus far, she is not very spooky but a lot more desensitizing training is being done daily to really get her ready for anything. You must have basic-horsemanship down before you can work with or rider her.
Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances her owner had to sell her and she came into my possession. This mare is sweet but sassy! She has a very kind eye, just one by the way, and an eagerness and willingness to please her handler. She wants to work with you, but she's not going to roll over and be a submissive-push-over. She WILL test you, she will make you think and use your brain and build up some patience. She wants you to respect HER before she will respect YOU.
Now, I'm not saying this to make you think she's going to be aggressive - she's not. She is the type of horse who wants compassion in the horse and rider relationship. If you purposefully harm her, don't doubt for a second that she'll ever forget it.
Lease is $175 per month, and must sign on for a minimum of 3 months - afterwards lease occurs on a month-to-month basis. (3 month, 6 month or 6-12 month contract for lease available).
Leaser will not hold the owner of the horse or the owner of the property for any injuries that may or may not occur.
Leaser will not be responsible for any normal occurring veterinary care, farrier work, or nutrition and general care. Leaser WILL be held responsible for any injury occurring to the horse while under your handling. (Any injury or illness that the horse succumbs to while under the Leaser's handling will be paid for by the Leaser).
