Jack (A Perfect Frost) is a 6-year old registered AQHA gelding and a great grandson of Sun Frost. He is 15.1 HH and weighs around 1,000 pounds. He is a beautiful dappled buckskin that really catches the eye. We have had Jack for a year and a half and have only used him for trail riding. His previous owner was training him for barrel racing, but had a couple candidates, and didn’t like his lead changes so decided to sell him. We’re letting him go because we’re getting out of horses and trail riding to pursue other interests.... (read more) I’d say his temperament is a 5 or 6 (out of 10), he tends a little more toward high strung than laid back and he’s got more go than whoa, but he does have a good stop. He’s got a good start, is very athletic and could be taken in any direction but really just needs time/miles under saddle. He would make an intermediate level rider a good 4H project. He’s easy to catch; loads in and out of trailer; loves attention and grooming; and stands nicely for saddling, farrier work, shots/worming, and mounting and dismounting. He's accustomed to a roomy stall, but prefers to be outside... we only bring him in when the flies or weather are real bad. He has a current Coggins and is up to date on vaccinations. He had shoes on all four feet for a couple months toward the end of summer, but they were pulled the end of September. Thanks for looking.
