2019 Bay Colt
Tourist x Dream Vacation by Harlan’s Holiday

Check out this stunning ONTARIO-BRED colt by TOURIST, WinStar’s multiple Grade 1 winner and TIZNOW’s most accomplished son at stud. TOURIST posted seven triple-digit Beyers in his career as well as the most of his generation, and capped off an incredible career by winning the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) at Santa Anita in 1:31.71 – the fastest mile ever run in a G1 race.... (read more) Now he’s also off to a successful start at stud, with his first yearlings selling for up to $150k last year. His first crop of two-year-olds in 2020 include a $145k colt and $130k filly at the sales, and on the track TOURIST is currently represented by juvenile winners Indy Tourist, a 15 ¾-length MSW winner and placed in the $500,000 Juvenile S. at Kentucky Downs; Woodbine Way, a 7 ½-length MSW winner; Tourrista, a 3-length MSW winner; Kactus Kate, a 2-length MSW winner; etc.   

This colt is just the second foal out of the young HARLAN’S HOLIDAY mare DREAM VACATION, a half-sister to PERFECT SOUTHERNER, who has now produced two stakes horses and a third winner from just four to race to date. Second dam THREADNEEDLE is by the legendary DYNAFORMER and is a full sister to Tina Dynamite, who is not only a stakes runner herself but has produced G2 horse CAVALIA, all coming from the direct family of GOLD CASE and CONVEYANCE under this colt’s third dam.

And how about this for an update: this colt’s two-year-old FULL BROTHER just “finished gamely” to place third in his very first start at Woodbine for owner Gary Barber and trainer Mark Casse. Wow!
