Meet Mara!

She is a 14.2 Egyptian Arabian mare born on April 7, 2014. She was bred and raised in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She has a pure Pedigree (see below) and is from a line that can be directly traced back to the desert. Mara possess her ancestral qualities of endurance, connection and kindness to humans

As a foal and filly she was professionally halter trained, she has been presented but never showed. She was recently started under saddle after three months of freedom and connection-based ground work.... (read more) She is highly intelligent and picks up on ques and new concepts quickly. When working with her she is alert, keen to learn, and will communicate very clearly when she needs clarification on a new concept.

She is true to her historic lineage and possesses incredible endurance and energy. She is currently learning the basics of movement off your leg, lateral flexion, straightness and self carriage. She is building her confidence, relaxation and skills under saddle with each week of training.

She will need a trainer or intermediate rider to continue her journey. With consistency she will progress quickly as she is smart and mentally mature. She would be best suited for trail riding, endurance, halter showing or dressage.

We have both her mother and nephew who have also been proven to be amazing and confident trail horses. All three of them show a natural aptitude to being outside and seem to prefer the trails more than anything. Mara has been ponied out on the trails, we are working on her confidence and skills in the arena; so she has the tools she needs to self-regulate and stay calm, and confident, on trails and new areas.

Sire exported to the UAE, Mara is a one-of-a-kind, called his best filly. Dam is daughter of Scottsdale Unanimous Champion Stallion + US National Reserve Champion Stallion Thee Desperado, 3/4 sister to Salon Du Cheval World Champion Stallion True Colours, out of a daughter of Dalul.

She is current on all shots, Coggins, worming, farrier etc. She is located in Simpsonville, KY. Video on request.
