Do not pass up the opportunity of a lifetime with this guy. Beat Yesterday is a personable, sweet, calm guy with a puppydog outlook on life, and the talent under saddle to get you or your kid to the level of jumping they have always dreamed of going.
Beats has been slowly restarted from the track, retiring sound with no blemishes in November of 2019, and having a few months of let down time, and then started on trails and then started over fences in August 2020.... (read more) He is a forward ride requiring very little push, more balancing. He’s eager to please, and has a motor that he knows how to use, but he has the adjustability to come back when asked.
Beats is very in tune with his riders, I’m always telling my students not to Tell him to trot, but think “you are allowed to trot”, and he will go. With as powerful as he is, you’d think he would be dead in the mouth, but he’s not. He goes in a super soft bit or bitless, he's that gentle. To slow him down most of the time He just needs his rider to sit back and say woah.
I have used Beats for ADVANCED begginer riding lessons without issues, but he is not fit for a beginner’s unsupervised first horse. He will need an intermediate or advanced junior or amateur, someone to keep his mind and body fit. As his training progresses and he learns more, Beats could easily do the 3’ hunters or higher, but he has the power behind him and Balance that would excel in eventing or jumpers. He would also make an amazing equitation horse.
Beats is a 2015 that currently stands around 15.3/16hh and is still doing a little growing. Hes solidly built, and packing on the weight, so he will grow into a nice hunter form within the next year. He is barefoot, and sound, lives out, and is a very easy keeper. He has a natural jump and shows a real desire to train. While he is the easiest horse I have ever dealt with, he is still green and will need either an experienced rider to finish him, or a confident rider and the assisttance of a trainer to finish him properly.
Beats hacks out alone, trail rides alone, does walk trot and canter from voice, and is very point and shoot if you are confident and direct with him at the jump. Beats is registered to compete in the 2020 division of the 2021 RRP competition, and will be listed in the makeover marketplace for over 15,000 after the competition. Get him for a deal while you can!
He is available through highland equine, on Facebook.
Beats’ price reflects the quality of horse you are getting. He does everything , and he’s happy to do so. He’s point and shoot to the jumps.
He’s safe around small kids and loves children and dogs.
You will not find a better horse in his price bracket.
