6 year old GRADE lineback dun mare
14.3+ 1100lbs (estimate)
Pros: Has been rode many trail miles, went to a Martha Josey Barrel Racing 2 1/2 day clinic (Thanksgiving 2019), exhibitioned countless times in barrels all over East Texas (she’s slow 21s barrel pattern), recently tried out in Ranch Sorting/ Team Penning, not spooky, my kids have leadlined off her several times. Changes leads easily, smooth slow lope. I wouldn’t trust them on her alone only because she is very soft faced and kids tend to have jerky hands and she’s still fairly young herself.... (read more)
She’s not finished in any particular discipline. I don’t have time or the skill to finish her in any exact direction, thought about sending her to a trainer but would rather put money into something with a decent set of papers. Great little mare. Just looking for some to excel in SHOTX in the future. Coggins current until next month. Teeth done recently. Stands for trims. Has had a front set of shoes only because she was hauling every weekend. Does fine barefoot as well. Not mareish, gets along with 99% of the horses at the barn or in turnout. See chiropractor regularly for minor adjustments.
CONS: She will set back if tied and a decent amount of pressure is applied to the halter. Iffy about walking in a vet chute or enclosed wash rack. Just throwing those out there full disclosure.
