Selling her as a "broodmare" for the reason below, or really a project horse that needs a refresher course as she was last ridden here about 4 years ago. If you are looking for a sound, good minded play day project for your kids here she is cheap! Thought this photo was the one to pick that may represent her best since one is allowed. She has been a broodmare for about the last 8 years. We are looking for the right home for her. 15.2 H She is smart, has a big hip, and thick made.... (read more) Last foal was 2 years ago, she sells open. She may not settle in foal if you are looking at her for a broodmare, she did not in 2019 but I never vetted her. I did not expose any mares this year. She is completely sound to ride, train, play day, and we think she will be one of those horses in time can turn your grandkids loose on. She is much more valuable as a using mare and moves like she is an 9 year old! She is perfect for some one to take her home as a project mare and get her going well under saddle again. I do not believe it will take much to get her going again. There is no one here to do it at this time unfortunately. (It reads broodmare because it is the only way I know categorize her here, that won't compel that one person out there- (who seems to find me...)..to believe they are Clinton Anderson and insist on an ordeal here.) When this photo was taken and did not warm her up- just got on her- she was gamey and fast but overall rode out well. Fancy is best suited to be a womans or young persons horse. She does not like most men, on the ground- its her weak spot. Kids catch and handle her- she will stand all day to be brushed and loves to be around people. Fades to summer black in mid to late summer. She is in very good condition and has never had any illness or injuries-she is out in the pasture and treated like a horse- has been matriarch. She does well stalled is needed.
We were told she was retired from play days because the girl was going on the pro circuit barrel racing and she needed a horse with a little more speed. (She is one of those that will steal your heart!)
Thanks for your time!
