Prince is a 14 year old 14.3 hand blonde Haflinger gelding. This guy has the looks and build that Haflingers are suppose to have but they’re so hard to find like this now a day’s. This guy is stout and a great size for kids to adults. He can carry any size rider without a problem. He is big boned and has nice big feet to. If you are looking for a bombproof, super safe horse you really can’t get one much safer than this guy right here.... (read more) He is not only safe and quiet he’s also very well trained. Prince is broke to ride English and western. He has more whoa than go and is perfect for anyone looking for a steady eddy kind of horse or a confidence builder. This horse would work for any therapy program. Rides English and western. He walks on a nice loose rein, stands like a stone for mounting at the block and has a jog you can sit to all day long. If you want you can move him out into a posting trot and he’ll do that to. This guy has a really nice slow lope but you will need a spur or a crop and he’s happiest being a walk/trot mount because fast just isn’t his speed. Rides in English and western tack. Neck reins, direct reins, moves off leg, soft mouth, good brakes, backs up and rides in a snaffle bit. Prince goes around the arena perfectly and has been working in lessons from 4 year old kids to adult. He is good for the most timid rider. We have done lead line with him also for lead line lessons. He is now working in summer camp and will trot over poles and low cross rails. This gelding is totally unflappable and you cannot rattle him. He is as calm as calm can be. I would not hesitate to put anyone on this gelding because he is that kind. He is a unicorn and worth his weight in gold and he’ll be that way if he’s used daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. On the trails this guy is also bombproof and doesn’t look at a thing. Completely road and traffic safe. Rides alone or with others. I don’t like to call a horse spook proof ever but nothing phases this guy and I mean nothing! Prince is also very good broke to drive single and double. Beginner safe to also drive and would be a great addition to a therapy driving program. He has been in parades, used for carriage rides, pleasure driving and has done farm work. The person I got him from drove him extensively. I don’t have a Haflinger size harness and we are not big into driving. I also have his half brother for sale named Pride if someone is looking for a pair. They match to the T. I know a lot of Haflingers that can have a pushy or stubborn streak and this one does not have an ounce of pushy ness or stubbornness in him to be completely honest. He has the best disposition and the best ground manners you could put on a horse. Super sweet in your pocket personality and extremely loving. Clips, bathes, trailers, cross ties, good to saddle and bridle. Good for vet and farrier. Prince is up to date on everything and currently shod all the way around but he can go barefoot if someone prefers and he’ll be ok. Very easy keeper, no maintenance or supplements needed. No vices what so ever. He can live inside or out and gets along with all other horses and expects all fences. I could go on and on about this gelding all day because I can’t fault him on anything and if you want safe he’s the definition. He isn’t going to light the world on fire but he’ll take care of anyone you throw on his back and that’s an insurance policy in its self. If these two geldings don’t sell we will happily keep them here forever because I have yet to find Haflingers that are anywhere close to the two I currently have listed which is this guy Prince and his half brother Pride.
