I've been on the fence about selling, putting it out here in case there's someone needing a horse like this. Said person would need to have some experience with Morgans, and either have aspirations for breeding or be a decent intermediate rider wanting a Hunter pleasure mount. Might even work for a trainer needing a nice "practice" horse for their clients?
This is a really high quality mare my family has owned for 11 years.... (read more) She's 15 now and I have no use for her but don't think she's ready for retirement. Looking for a sale to a wonderful home. I'm willing to let her retire here when she's ready, but we all know Morgans are like energizer bunnies and this mare just doesn't seem "done" to me. 15 hands, currently barefoot, no health or soundness issues (if you want to compete on a national level she would likely need age appropriate maintenance, but what 15 yr old doesn't?). Currently in light work 3 days a week wearing a snaffle. Vet checks, repro exams etc all welcome.
She has produced 3 bay colts in 2015, 2018, and 2019. Excellent mother, great milker and easy to get in foal. Loves being a mom!
This mare was shown in the Hunter Pleasure and Eq (Yes she does patterns) division through 2013 I believe and has several accomplishments in that division - Open hunter champion at Penn-Ohio, Reserve champ in the 13 & under eq at New England Regional, and got some top 10 ribbons at her only trip to Nationals, including making the call back out of 40-something horses for the Youth WC and being pinned 7th (with a 4th place vote!) in our 26 horse Jr. Exhibitor WC class.
She was sometimes too much horse for teenage me and we could be hit or miss
