Miss Ellie Mae is looking for her next trail riding family or could go in any dicipline. She has a very laidback personality and has mainly been used on trails and a little bit of arena work. My fiance has fired a .22 off of her and she just has no care in the world. I will be continuing arena work to get her riding more consistently. She had been put on the back burner due to new baby and our family starting a new business.... (read more) She was very consistently rode last year and did amazing with my fiance who is new to horses. But with that being said, she has some tune up to do since a new rider had been riding her. Doesn't neck rein very well yet and is a little harder in the face than I would like in my own horse. But stops, backs, walk, trot, and canter all good! I would consider her green broke and would excel with a confident intermediate or experienced rider to finish her off. She has had quite a few beginners on her and the worst she will do is go where she wants or stop to eat grass. I have not measured her, but she is rather short and stocky. My fiance is tall (6'2) and had no issues riding. Stands for farrier, hauls, ponies fine. VERY easy keeper! I pulled her off grass pasture last week and rode her for a lesson after not being ridden or worked in several months and she did amazing! She has only been under saddle about a year and a half. She had only been off the rez 3 months when we had bought her a little over a year ago.
