Ripley is a 15.3 hh approximately 20 yo gelding who suffered a suspensory injury last year and didn’t recover the way we had hoped. We did what we could for him (shockwaved, cold hose/poultice, time off) and then decided to go ahead and retire him when he was still lame a few weeks into his rehab program. Unfortunately we don’t really have the space to keep a retired horse if we can find him the perfect home to live out the rest of his days.... (read more) HE IS NOT RIDING SOUND AND IS NOT BEING SOLD AS A RIDING HORSE! He is sound at walk but is lame at trot and canter. He’s a very sweet guy, gets along with all horses, UTD everything, no vices, perfect gentlemen for vet and farrier. Has been barefoot since we retired him and is doing great! He can be a little difficult to catch but will come up to you with some grain. He is the perfect babysitter for young horses - he’s very laid back and doesn’t go along with their shenanigans. Willing to give him to the perfect home who just wants a horse they can love on or is in need of a companion for a horse they already have. References will be required.
