Opportunity to own this beautiful buckskin Rocky Mountain gelding, Moonshine. He is of the Choco/Dock bloodline and registered with the RMHA. A shift in our therapeutic herd to all mares makes this gelding available to a really good home.
Moonshine stands 15-15.1 hands tall, very smooth walk,rack, and canter gaits. Currently being ridden out barefoot and in a bitless bridle. As a professional farrier for over 25 years, I always said that no horse had perfect feet until I met this guy.... (read more) Moves happily over all types of terrain, never needing shoes or boots. Always sound, forward moving, easy keeper. Trail rides out alone but prefers friends along. Happily does arena work. He is probably not the horse for a very novice rider, as he is quick moving when asked and incredibly smart, so sometimes he has to be reminded that decisions under saddle aren’t his to make. On the ground, he is very quiet. Stands tied, hi-lines, loads, leads, good with his feet, no stable vices. He will make someone an amazing one on one trail partner with a motor that never quits.
