Juniper is a mustang filly rescued by the USFS in New Mexico off the Carson National Forest. She was orphaned at a couple days of age and bottle fed until 4 months old, when she moved to Iowa. Juniper will probably average to around 14 hands based off the other mares in her area. She is very affectionate and loves people, though she is not for a beginner/young kids. She stands tied, is good for the farrier and baths, and loads in our 3 horse slant-load trailer.... (read more) Her only vice is she does not like shots so the vet comes out to do those. Juniper spent 4 weeks at a professional trainer getting her ready to break. She has had a bit in her mouth, surcingle, been lunged, desensitizing work, and basic ground work. She will make an excellent project horse for someone who is experienced and preferably has prior mustang experience since she does act different than a domestic horse. I would not be selling her but my husband and I are moving to Alabama at the end of the year and cannot take her.
