“Tick” has heavy leg bone, with nice big feet for durability and a solid frame. His curiosity, friendly nature, and willing attitude make him easy to train. Athleticism shines through when he floats effortlessly around in circles on the end of a lunge line. Handled daily he is always waiting at the gate to get in the barn for grain and exercise.

This colt’s lineage stems from a line of good minded versatile horses.... (read more) His grandsire, Roan Ambrose; was turned out in the spring with the mares and in the fall used him for picking up bucking horses. Rodeo contracts took notice of this great stallion’s versatility and leased him out to cover their own mares. He produced many pick up, hazing, and rope horses that competed in the National Finals Rodeo.
Drifts Chip stood at the Four Sixes ranch in Guthrie, Texas. He was often described as, "Pretty enough to lead a parade, tough enough to pick up bucking horses at the NFR, fast enough to haze for bulldoggers and still sound at 21 after years of hard use. "
