Gulkusi's long awaited second daughter (by Magaryf) is a very typical VNIIK (Russian Studbook) & ATAA registered purebred Akhal-Teke filly. She's blindingly metallic and, if I hadn't had her color genetics tested, I would think she was a dark buckskin. Since she tested N/N (no copies) for the cremello gene, however, it turns out that she is an amazing light golden bay color which is just a shade lighter than that of her sire. She also tested nd1/nd2 for the Dun locus (non-dun1/non-dun2-i.... (read more)e. no Dun dilution but may have primitive marks) which explains why she has a dorsal stripe and primitive marks on her legs. At just under four years old, she's already about 15.2 hh so I am expecting her to mature to at least 15.3 hh and 1100 lbs. like her Elite graded dam. Her pedigree can be seen under Giana23 on the All Breed Pedigree Database website. More photos can be seen on the owner's Facebook page (jacqueline.j.munn) in a photo album under her name.
