Meet Slim.... He is an 11 yr old grade gelding that stands around 14.3hh. Slim is the perfect horse for someone interested in wanting to learn how to rein or get started competing in reining. I would recommend him for an advance beginner/ intermediate level rider on up, only due to him used to being competed on in reining competitions and being a little light in the face/mouth. He has all the right buttons and LOVE for reining. Slim spins, changes leads, know reining patterns, can be rode bridle-less and has an amazing big slide stop when asked for.... (read more) Another thing that Slim to do is going on trail rides either on the side of the road or in the woods/going to check cows in the pasture. He stands tied without a problem, loads easy, saddles and bridles like a pro, picks up feet, good with the farrier, neck reins, traffic safe and is good with livestock and pets.
Slim however is suggested to have a chiropractor/adjustment every 3 months due to an old injury that occurred when he was younger in the hip area. The old healed injury does NOT affect his riding or soundness, the adjustments just help keep him more comfortable and keeps him from possibly getting stiff.
