Stained Class is a 2 year old, 15.3 hand, chestnut filly who came to us by way of Monmouth Park’s Second Call program. This girl raced only 3 times, showed no talent for it, and is lucky to get to retire early and sound. Class is by Palace (Carson City, Mr Prospector) and out of a Silent name (JPN) mare (Sunday Silence, Alysheba).

Stained Class had a fantastic evaluation with our vet. She is clean and sound, even having come to us within 2 weeks of her last race.... (read more) She also seemed like a nice mover and had a sweet, easy temperament to work around. She will be getting her feet done shortly and then be reintroduced to turnout for some R&R. This girl is just a baby as a late 2 year old, and we’d love to see her get time to grow up a bit before going back to work.

A rehabbing and rehoming facility for retired Thoroughbred race horses, here at After the Races we have several nice OTTBs in need of great homes. Adoption fees are low and these horses are capable of going on to any discipline. Right now we have horses who would make fantastic trail or lesson mounts as well as those who could go on to high level showing. Many great projects. Please consider adopting today!
