Brigadier General is a 16 hh 10 y/o American Warmblood (Belgian x Thoroughbred). I am in 0 rush to sell him. Brig is a beginner safe beginner novice (2’7”)-novice (2’11”) eventer. He recently got me through my c1 ponyclub rating (2’9”) and has so much potential to go higher. He is happy and healthy but I’m selling him because he’s more on the lazy side and I’m more interested in a go horse. I used him to teach lessons to absolutely complete beginner riders and they loved him.... (read more) He needs a firm rider when it comes to jumping, one who will sit deep before fences and keep him in front of your leg because recently he hasn’t been shy to refuse but he’s at the tail of end of that habit and with just a little bit more time he won’t be taking second glances at anything. He was imported from N. Carolina as a fox hunter so really he’s just an awesome all round guy. He’s shown in the rated Horse Trials for 2 years in a row, the first year being his first ever show and he rocked it. He took home 2nd out of a full class at beginner novice at our most recent show in September. He bathes, clips, loads, stands for the farrier, and stands in the cross ties with no issues. I’m willing to trade for a HEALTHY ottb who’s jumping beginner novice height and is under the age of 10. I’m looking for another eventer or a showjumper. I’ve been told in the past that once his flat is perfected, he’d make a very nice hunter horse.
