Pleiadian, or “P-Money” as he was called at the track, is a gorgeous, 16.3+ hand, 9 year old, chestnut gelding who retired by way of Beyond the Wire in MD. While he changed hands several times over the years, his most recent owner was upset when he was claimed, and she went to buy him back just so that he could retire. At 9 years old, he was more than ready and came to ATR with the expectation that he’d have some R&R time at the farm before going to work.... (read more)
P-Money was recently evaluated by our veterinarian and found to be sound and ready to go to work. We have radiographs available for his front fetlocks for serious inquirers. The only thing that has held him back since arrival was some hoof struggles which we seem to have finally overcome after some babying. Under saddle, P-Money has been one fun horse. He’s just diving back in but he’s doing so with gusto. He has a big, ground-covering trot, great steering, and a real joy to be working again. He’s already started hacking out on trails as well and is just such an easy guy.
While P-Money doesn’t have any hard limitations, he will not likely be an upper level horse by nature of the wear and tear that comes from 71 races. However, he very likely could make a nice fox hunter or low level event horse still! Even though he is 9 year olds, he defies the warhorse stereotype in that he feels and acts much like the average 4 year old in our barn. He feels good, loves to play, and has some sass befitting of a horse of his caliber. Because of this he will need an experienced handler and rider, though we think he will be a lot of fun!
P-Money is available now for $2,000. He is worth every penny and more!
