Rosie is a 2010 AQHA Registered BEAUTIFUL Red Dun Mare, with strong dark barring and markings. She is a big lady standing 15.3/16hh. She’s a smart girl with a lovely disposition. Rosie is easy to catch, halter, and lead, once she gets to know you, she needs to know and trust her owner/operator before she warms up to you. After that happens she is super sweet, loving and an absolute joy to be around. She is VERY green and currently at the Trainer for a re-start.... (read more) She was started a few years ago nice and slowly, but her owner currently lives in London and has not been able to do anything with her for a while, and the weather this summer while she was out made it impossible to get any riding done with her special girl. She is coming along again with her basics very nicely but it will take some time. She is a very smart lady but does REQUIRE a calm confident experienced owner/rider as she is quite timid and nervous right now, not a mean bone in her body, no rear, bolt, she has crow hopped slightly during her first walk-trot transition but came out of it very quickly and settled back down, no more issues since!! She is a nice quiet girl otherwise and with the right rider she will make a wonderful partner in crime!! She’s very eager to please and learn.
Rosie has also had 2 foals, she is a great momma and doesn’t mind at all you playing with her baby. She is good with the stallion, foals by herself without trouble. She was briefly exposed to a Grulla Stallion in July so she is possibly bred for a 2020 foal, I can provide the breeding report later this fall if she appears to be bred.
UTD on deworming and has all her hooves trimmed. She loads and unloads without issues, but does need to take her time getting in and out of the trailer, however she can be nervous during the trip. Doesn’t do well on her own, prefers to be with at least one other horse. She is used to quads, tractors, donkeys, people and most other aspects of the farming life.
I am listing for a friend, like I said she is living in London, England, however I know the mare, and have handled her. I am in direct contact with her trainer & owner, and have her papers and signed transfer document in hand, so absolutely no issues for purchase.
