All Around, Beginner, Blue Eyed, Kid Safe, Trail, Trail Riding, Western Riding
Junior is a fully registered Gypsy Vanner gelding. He is fully trained to walk, trot, and canter. He can go in either a western saddle or dressage saddle. I've used just a basic snaffle bit on him (western or english headstalls) and I've even ridden him in a hackamore. He is even good using just a halter and a lead rope! My boyfriend enjoys riding him bareback, he is very sweet and not very reactive to anything. He's great with other horses and I frequently let him share a pasture with my senior horse, as well as my rescued minis.... (read more) He can go on trail and when he was in training, the trainer often took him into town, by the train station, and out on the trails that lead in the "open space preserve". The only thing I remember him saying was that he didnt like crossing water, but would still do it with enough encouragement. He trailers without any problems, He is great for the vet and doesnt put up any kind of attitude or a fight with worming or vaccines. He is currently up to date on vaccinations and worming. He eats only Timothy hay, a scoop of timothy pellets, and gets a few smartpak supplements. He has a bit of a sensitive tummy with too rich of hay and will get diarrhea. He is an absolute dream with kids, we let my boyfriends neices and nephews sit on him when they come over to visit. He is a barn favorite anywhere we stabled. Since I haven't been able to really ride him for a while, hes gotten kind of lazy, but he is still very easy to ride regardless. He prefers to socialize more than work. But he is willing and is such a sweet guy, best tempermented horse I have EVER had. Only selling because of on going health issues and I am no longer able to ride. I am not entirely sure what his correct height or weight is, it is just a guess. I do not have a video of him but am working on one.
