Pearl is a stunning and talented 17.2hh, black, registered Irish Sport Horse mare who turned 11 this May.
Pearl has a wealth of experience in many different environments. She has over 1000 miles of rugged mountain trails under her belt, often doing 20 mile days with packs on and overnight camping. She’s been to the beach many times and will go into the ocean.
Pearl has a long and successful show record. She has competed up to 2nd level at USDF, was USDF horse of the year as a 2 year old, and has competed at Novice B in Working Equitation (WE).... (read more) She has done schooling shows at 3rd level and Intermediate A in WE. She has spent years doing clinics with the likes of Jeremy Steinberg, the Valenca’s, Jose Lopes, Carlos Carneiro, Steve Rother, Nadine O’Sullivan (Legerete), Michael Godding, and more. She is confirmed in piaffe, is starting passage, can do 3’s and 4’s with lead changes, canter & walk piroettes, incredible collected canter (departs from walk, halt, and rein-back), and all lateral work. She’s in prime condition and was just at a show the end of June where she received the highest dressage score across all divisions (a WE show) and both shows. She also won her EOH class to win the show at Novice B. She loves to jump, loves the water, and has been on cross country and indoor jump courses. She has been to a number of cow clinics and will work cattle. She will long line and work in hand. And last but not least, she is trick and liberty trained.
Pearl is registered with the IDSH and has a life time USDF registry. She is UTD on everything, is easy for the vet and farrier, trailers very well, gets along with other horses in crowds and in the pasture (she is neither alpha or low-man…just in the middle). She is sweet and kind, loves attention and being groomed, and has an excellent work ethic. She does not bite or kick, buck or rear (unless asked for a rear…as it’s one of her tricks). She has a kind attitude and is affectionate toward people. She’s not marish at all.
Because of Pearl’s large size and immense power, she is not suitable for just anyone. She is best for a professional or very confident amateur who works with a trainer. She has a 10+ canter, is very forward but light in hand, has been trained with Classical French Dressage and Legerete principles, and loves to work. Within a year and with the right training/person, she could be a Grand Prix Dressage horse. A serious and competitive show home is preferred as well as horse buddies and good turnout.
She has clean x-rays of her hocks (done June 2019). Contact Adrienne for more information - Go to visit our website for more photos and Care Acres Horses on Youtube for many videos.
