14-year-old mare. Experienced all-day trail horse. Can go 11 miles on steep rocky trails and still have plenty of gas in the tank.
Has been camping on a high line for up to a week. Regularly carries a 30lb dog in a buddy saddle on trail rides. We've ponied other horses off her. She rides out alone or in a group. Loads, unloads, and trailers wonderfully. Stands for vet and farrier. No major vices or behavior problems.
Best with a rider who is confident enough to give her a loose rein and trust her to do her job.... (read more) If you have soft hands, she will give you a soft mouth. If you have hard hands, she will give you a hard mouth. For that reason, she is best to be paired with a confident older rider (16 or over). You don't need to be particularly skilled to ride her as long as you stay off her face. She rides in a smooth 3-piece ring snaffle. Barefoot even when ridden on rocky trails. UTD on shots, coggins, and deworming. Easy keeper.
