Frog is good on trails alone or with a group, he has run playday events and poles, and has experience as a drill team horse in the competition and rodeo arena. Frog knows cues such as yielding the hindquarters and forequarters, side pass, backing, flexing, and counter bending. He can also perform all of these maneuvers from the ground. Frog will jump logs from ground or under saddle as well. Stands great for the farrier and has never refused to load up in the trailer.... (read more) He is a very easy keeper even in the winter. He loves a good grooming session and he loves treats :)
Frog is 16 years old and stands about 14 hands.
The only "vice" Frog has, if you could call it that, is that he likes to go fast and tends to build speed in the lope. He can and will slow lope, but he usually needs a warm up when you first ask him to lope.
Frog has had the same owner for the last 7 years. Previously used for playday events. Was used as our family trail horse and was ridden on drill team. He was hyper at first, but settled by the end of the season.
Frog would best suit an intermediate rider because he likes to go; needs someone patient who understands horses and won't blow his mind if he gets hyped up. He is an eager learner and wants to please the rider. Currently ridden 3-4 times a week.
