This is very hard for me, i must be honest. I rescued this mare in Jan 2015, and 5 months later she had the most gorgeous little filly, i've ever seen. Not bad for a horse that wasnt pregnant according to her previous owner. She had no name, no age, and they didnt know her breed either. All i knew was she was the kindest, most calm mare ive ever met in this lifetime, and i'm in my 50's. Ive never owned a mare, i was always a gelding girl, but when i met her, and realized how sweet she was, i had to save her.... (read more) She loves kids, i put them on her all the time, bare, and shes pretty much spook free. She has a wonderful lope and trot, and is a wonderful mover, i just dont have the strength, or know how, to help her along. See the problem is, shes green. She knows very little. And i dont have the money to put into training her, so have been doing it myself. Shes come such a long way, she does everything else perfectly, except for fly spray, she cant stand it, so i wipe it on. She can do trails all day long, tirelessly, but when asked to to arena work, she gets bored very quickly, and so do i. She has no mean habits, no bite, kick or rear. She just shows out when asked to go in directions she doesnt want to go in. She is also pretty attached to her herd, since we board. Please know i will be very picky abt where she goes, i will require a 'no sell' contract, and will definitely expect to be kept informed, as well as in contact with her new owner. I have literally thousands of pics of her, or close, and her filly, if interested in seeing more. She just had a float on 11/21, chiro on 11/19, and her shots and wormings, trims, are all current. The only thing she needs is a coggins, but not til Jan 2017. All papers are in hand. She is a chestnut, with two gorgeous white hind socks, and a blaze, with lacing on her back. Easy to spot her in a crowd. Oh, and shes a dream to catch, never a problem, ever, and is fat and sassy, a very easy keeper. Shes a dream, like i said, i'm just too old to train her, and shes too stubborn when i want her to do something. Other than that, a very good girl. As i said, this is a tough decision, but i feel like i'm not giving her her best, and i really want to ride, and on a horse thats already seasoned. God had a plan when he put her in my path. Had i known she was pregnant, i may not have taken her. I just didnt trust my skills in raising a baby. Thk goodness He had a say in this, or i would have never gotten to witness or raise a baby in this lifetime. Hes so good. If you know of anyone, or if you're looking, please get in touch. Also, she takes a minute to trust you, so keep that in mind. :)
