My Old Friend (barn name: Chaos) is a 16.1 hand 8 year old registered Thoroughbred blood bay gelding. We bred and raised Chaos for sport and he has been a favorite since the day he was born. Chaos has been eventing at the Training level and always goes clean cross country; he is a cross country machine. He recently completed Surefire Horse Trials with a clean cross country at the training level. He is easy to put together in the dressage and has a fantastic canter.... (read more) Though Chaos is a talented horse, he is an absolute gentleman and very amateur friendly. With his kind mind, he would be very happy to take an amateur or child from intro on up, or could continue up the levels. He is a plain snaffle, plain noseband ride for all three phases, and is the type of horse you can just tip forward and throw the reins at on cross country and he will figure it out. Chaos is a stunning mover and magnificent to look at; he does not look or move like a Thoroughbred. He has an uphill frame and beautiful movement, a fantastic gallop and an easy lead change. He would be a great horse for an amateur or teen, as he is safe and smart, but is athletic enough to move up the levels, as well. He is even a good enough mover to excel in plain dressage. He has excellent manners and is a gentleman both on the ground and under saddle, no vices and is easy to have around. Excellent to hack out and school cross country. Chaos is from the family of Sadler's Wells, the great event sire, and you can tell on the cross country! Sound and healthy, good feet, big bones. A perfect home is a must for this beloved horse. $25,000. Chaos is located in Augusta, WV, 28 miles west of Winchester, VA. 309-376-2144
