"Gibbs" is a 15.3 hand, 9 year old Percheron cross gelding. Big bodied and suitable to any sized rider. Very kind, sweet and easy to work with. Low guy in the pecking order, but will always come up to you to be caught in the field. Has lived out 24:7 but can be in a stall as well. Easiest of keepers! Has been barefoot all his life but I recently shod him up front for traction in my grass arena. 100% sound with no issues or vices. Gibbs is suitable to an advanced beginner with a trainer or an intermediate rider to continue his education.... (read more) He spent the majority of his life trail riding in groups and has been on paper chases as well. Currently we are focusing on his ring work. He schools walk trot canter and is jumping small fences, up to 2'6". Currently putting lines together. He is steady and easy into them with nice rhythm. Been over a variety of fillers including logs, flowers, coops and tires. Shows nice form! Moves well off the leg and is soft in the bridle, rides in just a snaffle and has great brakes. Would make a wonderful all around horse for the amateur rider looking to just go have fun on something steady and safe. Cute mover that would do great at lower level dressage. Keeps his own pace under saddle, just an over all easy ride. Stands well at the mounting block as well. Good for bathing, grooming, tacking, farrier, trailering, etc.
