Very light in the bit and easy to control. She can be a speedy horse if you ask for it, but will walk calmly with no fuss. She's my go-to for any type of ride whether its just around the pasture bareback or group night rides. Can take her camping and doesn't mind other horses/campers. She's in the middle of the pecking order. No kick or bite or any aggression. I let kids run around her and lead her. She has been on the lunge line with kids but never turned loose.... (read more) Beginner adults can ride her with supervision as long as they have soft hands. This girl does it all fearlessly: jumps, crosses water, works off the leg, canters, climbs steep mountains, slides down muddy banks, jumps off of boulders, etc. Road, traffic, and loud vehicle safe. No issues riding her down the side of the highway with semi trucks honking. Will ride english or western or bareback in a halter and has started neck reining. Prefers a non-broken, low port bit with short shanks (I use a Pelham) but is okay with any bit. I've used snaffles, wonder bits, hackmores, and anything but a Tom Thumb. Stands perfect for the farrier and vet. Coggins, shots, worming, teeth float were all done in April. No major injuries or lameness issues other than one abscess last October. I have started her on barrels and she is doing well. Quick turns but doesn't touch the barrel. A perfect all around horse that is ready to do anything with. Very willing to learn and picks up new things quickly. Can deliver for an additional fee. Willing to consider trades on a flashy 16h+ stud (no breed preference) or a Thoroughbred.
