Stunningly handsome and well-bred 2005 dark bay KWPN-NA mare standing 16.1hh.
Fabulous uphill paces and active behind, however her big elastic paces and steady contact make her extremely easy and comfortable to sit to. Schooled 2nd level dressage and jumped to 1.05m she has extensively shown in dressage, showjumping and eventing, but shows most aptitude for dressage and less desire to jump cross country. She scores high 60’s to mid-70’s with a very mediocre amateur rider – the judges love her big loose overstepping walk and rhythmical paces and she oozes presence.... (read more) She is solid at training and 1st level, has oodles of talent and will progress quickly in a program if desired.
As a result she has lots of exposure to bathing, clipping, braiding, trailering, and has been to many arenas, open spaces and shows. She can hang out, stay over, live out or stay in. She is an easy keeper and can be turned out with others or left on her own.
She can do the mountain trails, get you through the bush and then win a dressage ribbon! She has moved cows through the foothills, walked the dogs in the hills and chased coyotes off the farm. Water, steep inclines, low branches are taken in her stride. Dogs, sheep, babies and machinery are no problem.
She does not buck or bolt and is polite to trail ride alone and in company. She doesn’t kick or bite, has good feet and stands quietly for the vet and farrier. She loves to be fussed over and groomed and is sweet to deal with. She is not “marish”.
Up to date on dental & vaccinations & farrier work.
However she has had 18months off as a broodmare while I had my baby!
She is a fabulous mum and has produced two stunning foals catching first time both times and foaling out with ease. Avanna has NOT been rebred and is being slowly and carefully brought back into work.
