Danny is an 18 y/o dun pony gelding. He is 12.3 hands. I am selling him as grade because I'm not 100% sure what he is. I got the DNA testing done on him from Texas A&M, but the breeds he came back as (Mangalarga and Paso Fino) were a total shock, so I'm not sure how accurate that was! He has been my pasture pet for the past three months, but before that, he was a 12 year old's barrel/playday pony. He loads into the trailer and picks up his feet great.... (read more) He gets along well with other horses. He is up-to-date on farrier work, deworming, and teeth float. He doesn't have his current coggins but I can get it done before purchase, at buyer's expense. I haven't ridden him since I bought him, but he did fine when I rode him. We've been doing a lot of ground work and he catches on immediately and remembers great. He does need an experienced rider that won't let him get away with whatever he wants. He can be squirrely to catch in a big pasture, but once you get him, he follows like a dog. He is easier to catch in a small pen if you work with him consistently. He's the perfect size for an adult to hop on and school if necessary for their kid, once he knows more. We just took him to a barrel race to hang out this weekend and he stood tied all day and was a perfect gentleman. Feel free to ask anything about him and I'll do my best to answer! I am also happy to take more photos or videos if desired.
UPDATE on 4/27: Since writing the ad in the first place, I have come to find out he has a lot of fear issues that he needs someone to work with him through. I kept thinking I would have the time, but I just don't. He was apparently sick when I bought him, and now that he's healthy, there are some issues there. I have cut his price IN HALF since discovering this and am selling him as a project horse only. He is a real sweetie if you give him a lot of time, but with a full-time job and a toddler at home, it's time I just don't have. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
