All Around, Natural Horsemanship Training, Started Under Saddle, Trail Riding, Western Pleasure
Picasso was born May 11, 2009. His colouring is Tobiano Black, brown and white. Stands 15.2 hands and weighs 1,000 lbs. UTD on all vaccinations and worming.
Picasso is gentle natured, sensitive, very playful, never abused, no biting, or kicking and is an easy keeper. He is between mid to low in the herd. Gets along with all horses and loves to play. Tug of war with the feed bowl is his favourite.
He has super strong hooves and is barefoot.... (read more)He is great going through water and good on the road with traffic. He is respectful of your space, ground ties, stands for farrier without fuss. Trailers very well, and stays calm during road trips.
Works well in a snaffle bit. Responds very well to leg yields and light hands on the reins. He leads very well. He has had three months of Western training last Fall (2015) with Lantz McLaren. I have been training him using Natural Horsemanship techniques and he is at Parelli Level 1. He is very sensitive so Parellii works well for him.
Picasso has a lot of go and a solid whoa and park. He does not move when mounting or dismounting.
He would make an excellent project horse who learns quickly and easily. He has a "want to please" attitude and will do anything for you when he knows what you want.
Picasso is greenish and needs more experience and work under saddle but is solid in ground work. He needs a lot of time in the saddle to build his confidence. You need to be an experienced, confident rider who wants to finish his training. He is not a "been there done that" horse.
