**THIS HORSE IS CURRENTLY LOCATED NEAR GREENWOOD, SC**
It is with a heavy heart that I have finally came to the decision to offer up my sweet boy for sale or lease. This has been something I have considered for over a year now and with the advice of my late grandmother and my own gut feeling, I believe there could be someone out there happy and willing to give this wonderful horse more attention than I am currently able to. With that being said:
Meet RH Blazing Secrets aka Tango.... (read more) Foaled in February of 2007, he is a double registered 16+hh AQHA/APHA with an impeccable pedigree (I've attached photos of Tango's registration papers as well as photos of his sire and grandsire.) Bred by Robert Haas of Indiana, this gelding has multiple World Champions in his bloodline, including his sire RH Stars and Stripes, who is considered by most to be a leading sire to APHA halter horses. Tango is built like a tank, very intelligent, and extremely personable. He is happy being a pasture ornament or being ridden for several hours per day. He's an excellent trail horse with plenty of potential.
Tango walks, trots, canters. Knows basic pressure/release techniques. Was familiarized with pole and barrel patterns a couple years back. Rides well in the arena and on the trail. He is fine being ridden with or without other horses but does prefer to follow at the back of the line. Rarely spooks, he's never been known to bolt and has been taken to many rodeos as well as been boarded at a rodeo facility for several years...lights, noises, crowds don't seem to phase him. No bucking, rearing, or other foolishness. Tango is the same horse whether you ride him everyday or leave him pastured for months and he usually doesn't need much refreshing after a hiatus. Tango has terrific ground manners, never pushy but will often rub his head on you wanting attention...he is one of the most human interaction-seeking horses I've ever been around. I've ridden him bareback, with Western and English saddles, with a bit or hack, and even with just a halter. Doesn't mind spurs or crops. This horse responds well to new things and has always taken care of me as a rider. Good confidence building horse and could be ridden by pretty much any age or riding level.
Tango loads and trailers well and can be pastured with virtually any other livestock as he is very mild mannered and has always been the low man on the totem pole in every multiple-animal enclosure he's ever been in. He is easy to catch, usually the first one to greet you at the fence, and never runs from you in the pasture. Will often follow you around like a puppy dog, not even needing a halter and lead rope. Incredibly social animal. Loves to be brushed, bathed, and loved on. Ties, leads, lunges, stands well for clipping, teeth floating, the farrier, etc.
The only issue I have ever had with this horse is his dislike of walking through water. Quite frankly, he'd rather jump over it. Tango has never had any formal jumper training, however, I've jumped him over streams and ditches and he has always done beautifully and seemed to really enjoy himself.
All in all, Tango is an amazing horse that I am in no way looking forward to parting with. However, I feel that it would be in his best interest to find a home where he receives more love and hands-on attention than I can provide him. I'm posting him for sale or lease. If interested or have any questions, feel free to PM me or call/text at 864-992-6404. Hundreds of additional photos and videos available upon request.
