I got Queso mainly for a lawn ornament/pet. He hasn't had anything put on him before nor really asked to do much. He leads well and stands tied. He hasn't offered to sit back on me yet. This is my first mule and I can definitely see how different they are. He is cautious about most things, but he really wants to please and gives in to whatever I'm doing pretty easily. I fly spray, brush him and comb his mane and tail. He hadn't had his feet worked with much, so I've started that too.... (read more) He's usually pretty good with the front, but I haven't done much with his back feet yet. He loves carrots and his hay..I don't feed him grain, as you can probably tell - he could lose a few pounds. He stands about 39 inches at his shoulders.
Queso was with sheep, cows and another horse where I got him from. I do think he misses them. If you are interested, please let me know.
