I picked this mare up about three years ago for my nieces, she didn't come with much of a history. I was told from the guy I bought her from that he was selling her for a friend who could no longer take care of her (come to find out he is a dealer). She does have a rather large scar on her left shoulder, I have no idea what from but it doesn't seem to bother her or affect her mobility.
Anyways, my nieces showed her in halter and showmanship in 4-H the first year.... (read more) They worked with her on their own and lunged her, set her up and worked with her for an entire summer. She has been sitting in the pasture the last two years as my nieces have moved to TX. I have ridden her (5'1'' and 150lbs) she carries me around just fine. I've taken her to a few local fun shows and she did great. She has been ridden out on trails but she will kick out if another horse gets too close.
She is up to date on vaccines, coggins, deworming, and trims. She is an easy keeper and always kept barefoot. She is good for the farrier, vet, loads easily, lunges, rides (mostly w/t, lazy at canter), picks up all four feet no problem. She doesn't need grain unless being consistently worked.
I think she would be great for leadline or even a w/t program, just would need to get her back into shape.
