Meet Rye, he is a 2010 red dun with blanket and spots a loads of dun factor. Approx 15.3hh. Rye was raised and owned by an elderly man since birth. He has always been very well cared for. His owner is going blind and could no longer care for Rye and his other 2 mares. Rye came to us for training and is now ready to find a home where someone can use him as a riding horse. Rye is not reg. but his owner has all his paper work to get him registered, which is now in my hands and will be giving to his new owner.... (read more) you can see his pedigree on all breed. Rye has an amazing personality, his owner spent everyday with him so Rye adores people. He was put into training this spring and is such a pleasure to work with. Incredible ground manners and knows a lot of CA natural horsemanship. He has been desensitized and sacked out and not bothered by tarps, cones, barrels, stick and string. This boy has a very level head and is quiet. He has developed into a very nice riding horse and rides great in an arena and out on the trails. He goes where ever you ask him to and has a ton or try. He moves off you leg, pivots on for hand and haunches, flexes, disengages, awesome whoa and backs very well. Rides in a O ring snaffle. Not spooky, traffic safe, rides with dogs, not bothered by farm machinery. He is a big, study boy. This boy will hold up for very long time as he was NOT worked until a 5 yr old. He has not been passed around and he has NO holes in his training. NEVER tried to buck, rear, kick, bite or bolt. Good for vet and farrier. Current on all cares. This beautiful boy can go in any direction. Finish him your way. Rye will be ridden until sold.
