Meet Kyler, Child Safe, Confident Builder, Family Friendly, a One-Of-A-Kind horse that you will ever meet. Kyler is a true black Tennessee Walker, 14.2 hh & approx. 15 yrs old. He has kind eyes and is a gentle soul. Kyler is traffic safe, I ride on busy paved roads all the time, he is trail savey and trudges through anything. He will make a path if there isn't one. He is good with the farrier, vet, trailering, grooming and bathing. He picks up all 4 feet without effort.... (read more) He stands for mounting and dismounting. He has a very smooth canter to ride all day. He does gait but likes to step out of his gait but is easy to bring back in. He is not a bolter and would prefer to mosey along. I let any new rider use Kyler because he takes care of his rider and will not run off with you. He neck reins and plow reins. He has a great Whoah. He backs on command and you can mount from anything. He is the perfect size for a child but is a stockier TWH so he can hold some weight. He is an extremely easy keeper and is very clean in his stall. He eliminates outside unless locked in. He is used to being on grass pasture and never challenges fences. I actually never have turned my electric fence on. He never bothers it. There is NOT a mean bone in his body and he is so gentle. He has never bitten, kicked bucked or reared. He has even been to New Mexico Elk hunting with his previous owners. He is independent and does not require a pasture mate. He is currently the only horse on the property but has been pastured with other horses. Kyler is dominant of his food but not mean. He rides with any horse and is very tolerant of any situation. He is used to gravel roads, paved roads, equine trails, barking dogs, tractors, trucks etc. (my 3 yappers are always under his feet or in his face). When I mow his pasture, I have to get off the mower to move him out of the way because he is not afraid and I can actually touch him with the mower. You can let him sit for months and then put a saddle on and just go. He doesn't need to be rode consistently. The only thing negative that I can say about Kyler is that he will walk away from you when you first approach him. I just wrap my arm around his neck and put his halter on. If he walks away, he usually takes 2 steps and will stop. A great home is a must! I would like for a family in 4-H or a family that trail rides and camps to be his next family. You will not be disappointed in this wonderful boy! SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!! $2,600 OBO
