Cricket is a 13 year old bay mare with rabicano markings and a coon tail standing just under 15 hands. This mare is super stout and athletic, AQHA registered (Doc Wagoners Cricket) plus 96% foundation bred. Cricket is by a Doc Bar stallion and out of a King bred mare. Don't let her being a mare turn you away, this girl has a great disposition, is as sweet and friendly as they come, very well broke and ready to ride.... (read more) Greets you at the gate, follows you around and begs to be ridden. If you are looking to cut cows, team pen, rope, hit the trails, head to a gymkhana or compete in mounted shooting this is the horse for you! Cricket is broke broke broke to ride, walk, trot, canter, knows her leads, collects nicely, neck reins, side passes, rolls back, spins and does flying lead changes. Being a very broke horse she is sensitive to leg and body movement. She has a great disposition on the ground and in the saddle, as well as excellent ground manners. Cricket will stand tied all day, is great with her feet and for the farrier, bathes, clips and loads in and out of the trailer like a pro whether it's a straight or slant load. Pony off her, ride her on the trail or down the road alone or with a friend. She is quiet and not spooky in the arena or on the trails, you can hang out on her in the arena, set balloons off her back or pack her down a busy trail. She is a medium paced walker out on the trail and has been ridden all over Kentucky, South Carolina and the stockyards in Texas. She has been camping, used for herding cows and branding on the ranch, and also had 60 days of cutting training last year. In mounted shooting she was being ridden and competed on by level 1 and 2 shooters but does have a lot of get up and go when working the pattern so she would be best suited for a very confident level 1 or level 2 shooter. She has a lot of potential to shoot at higher levels, and has been shot on at multiple arenas both indoors and outdoors. She is up to date on shots and shoes, has a negative coggins, and recent health certificate and vet exam. She has an old scar on her left hind that is cosmetic and causes her no discomfort, and recently vetted at 100% sound. Vet checks are welcome and encouraged at the buyers expense. Don't miss out on this true all around girl at a steal.
