Brown is a 16.2h Appendix Quarter horse Gelding. I've been riding for about 9 years and i've had him for 6. When i got him he was mostly ridden western but I only ride English so I got him to steadily jump 2'6, leads, and some flying changes (you really have to ask dramatically and go deep in the corner) He hasn't been ridden that much in the last 3 years and every time i do go ride him he is exactly the same. I had him at my local show barn for a while and we were doing full courses and planning on showing.... (read more) Then, I decided to move him down to my family farm and just mess around on him because I was needing a horse that could jump higher than 3' and i could tell he was struggling with the REALLY tight turns and 3'+ jumps. He went over but it wasn't very pretty. He is a very willing horse and he is a very cute mover so i think he could be for under saddle, but he is also smooth so i could see him being used for eq. I prefer him in a martingale but at my family farm i never used one because we were always going in the river and stuff so i didn't see a point to have something extra to take off. He trail rides perfectly, is fine with the farrier, trailers, single ties, very easy to catch, he is a VERYYYY easy keeper. I used to feed him just a scoop of sweet feed but i don't even do that anymore. He is fine with grass and hay. He has very good feet, i keep shoes on of him because i barley ever ride him. If you are riding on gravel or something i would suggest some shoes. I would suggest a intermediate/advanced rider at first because he hasn't been ridden in so long or even handled he might be a little obnoxious on the ground at first but I can't blame him he barley has any human contact. That is why i want him to go to a home where he will get attention. He can go around fine western he was ridden in that for half of his life, I only ride him english. When i brought him home i had to walk across a HIGHWAY to get him to our trailer to bring him home and he didn't even flinch! He is up to date with all of his shots, he has a coggins, and is registered. Price is very negotiable because i just want him to go to a loving and safe home.
