I will be sending this saddle off to consignment soon. I was quoted $1800 by them so take this opportunity to cut out the middleman and snatch this beautiful saddle up for the $1300 I would get after paying the consigning fees. This opportunity won't last long!
This is the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in! Absolutely fantastic! I'm only selling it because the tree is a little too curvy for my horse's flat back. Even with the poor fit, my horse still goes better in this saddle than anything else I've ever put on him.... (read more)
It has a flat seat and narrow twist that make sitting so comfortable. This saddle does not have blocks, but they can easily be added if desired.
This saddle is in good used condition. It was made in June of 2000 and has normal wear. The tree is straight and sound, all stitching is tight, and the billets are in excellent condition. There is some slight cracking on the seat, but it is superficial and not likely to lead to any rips. This saddle has had a nameplate, but the holes can easily be covered by a nameplate of your own.
It has the original wide tree meant to be padded to fit narrower horses. The saddle is stamped as a 17" but Tad Coffins are known to run small and the actual measurement is closer to 16.75." The flaps are 13" long and 12" wide.
