Description:
Horse riding lessons for beginner through intermediate riders. We specialize in ground work: teaching people to feel confident and safe with the horse on the ground prior to getting in the saddle. Lessons involve catching, grooming, and saddling the horse because this where the start of the connection between horse and rider begins. Each rider learns to ride more fluidly with the horse using their seat, legs, reins, and core effectively; whether you ride English or Western.
We also offer lessons in equine agility, a rapidly growing sport in the equine industry. From the ground, the handler cues the horse by body language and voice to go through a set of obstacles at liberty (just like dog agility!). At liberty means that the horse has no halter or lead line for control, the horse must trust it's handler. The handler starts out by teaching the horse to be light and responsive on a lead-line prior to going at liberty.
We have several excellent lesson horses on our facility for you to use.
We would be happy to travel to your location for a small extra travel fee; or you may bring your own horse to our facility at no extra charge.
Private lessons are $30 per hour.
Semi-private lessons are $20 per person, per hour.

Riding Package Deal #1 = $120 This includes 5 private, one-hour riding lessons.

Owl Canyon Horse Services - Private and semi-private riding lessons available for beginner through intermediate riders of all ages (Pony Rides available for 3 & under). Learn to ride and communicate effectively with the horse by understanding their body language. Learn about cues, seat position, exercises, and much more during your lessons. Summer camps for children ages 6 - 17 run June through August. Each camp runs Monday through Friday. Children learn about safety, catching and leading their horse, grooming, parts of the tack, parts of the horse, they learn to ride at a walk, trot, and canter depending on their skill level. Customized birthday parties are a great way to give your child an unforgettable birthday! Design a session for 2, 3, or 4 hours. We offer pony rides for the youngsters (weight limit), arena rides with obstacles and equine games, trail rides on the property for children 6 and up, games after the ride, and of course cake and ice-cream! Design the party yourself or let us design it for you! Pricing varies depending on length, number of children, and preparation.
