I have been looking for a facility where I can learn all of the aspects of natural horsemanship (or similar techniques) and also learn alternative techniques with horses like bodywork, energy healing, animal communication etc. I am looking for a position with someone that would be willing to take me on to teach me as much as they can about working with, caring for and training horses and even riding if that would be possible.... I would like to find a position that is paid, could become paid in the near future and/or a position that includes housing where I can bring my indoor cat.
In terms of my horse experience, I have learned how to clicker train a horse, how to properly introduce myself to communicate/bond with horses and ponies, halter and groom a horse, and walk with a horse. I also practiced lunging a horse, round pen training and taking horses and ponies through obstacle courses with and without clicker training. My riding experience includes five to ten English riding lessons up to a posting trot.
My academic courses include psychology, behavior, stress/disease, and conservation. In addition, I have taken the following equine courses: Intro to Equine Science, Equine Acupressure and Massage, Equine Coat Color Genetics, Horse Handling, a few courses involving energy work, acupressure and massage and practiced some reiki with horses as well.
My schedule is very flexible.
My resume, cover letter, 3 letters of recommendation, references and unofficial college transcripts are available upon request.
