Linnea Throckmorton is a young professional at the Four Winds with international experience. She has been riding all of her life and has shown extensively. Having recently taken over the business, she follows in the footsteps of her father, Charles Throckmorton.
In her training, she has a classical approach to improving the horse's mind, body, and spirit. It is her belief that patience and consistency are key to any successful partnership. Every well-developed horse, regardless of level, has a solid foundation in groundwork. These principles, which guide her training, were reinforced by the time she spent in Germany.
Her philosophy in teaching is that each rider should gain the experience and knowledge to be successful on their own and she is capable of developing all levels of riders, from walk/trot to Grand Prix. Whether her riders are competing with school horses or their own, they have been very successful in the show ring. In and out of the arena, Linnea brings enthusiasm and professionalism to every lesson.

Lindsey has been riding english and western ever since she was old enough to walk. Participating in 4-H horse shows and open horse shows as a youngster, she rode extensively within both disciplines with many different instructors and has developed her own teaching methods.
She currently trains with Charles Throckmorton, but has extensive experience working with kids, and those interested in western riding, open horse showing/4-H shows, and gymkanas, as well as english riding. She has shown several years at the National Western Stock Show and on the Morgan circuit with her horses.
Her teaching philosophy is based off of building a strong and trusting relationship with the horse and rider and learning to over come problems and fears. Whether you just want to enjoy your horse at on the trail, or show your horse at the local shows a foundation relationship and language is key.
