My name is Cheyenne Puskas and I have been training horses for 10 years. The first 4 years I was training in Southern California, then my husband got a great job offer bringing us to Dallas, Texas. Training back in California I mainly worked with Tennessee Walking horses and preparing them for show or I was starting them under saddle. I have also had the pleasure of training Quarter horses, Arabians, Draft horses, and Thoroughbreds. I am able to train horses for show, trail, pleasure, some versatility, and have the ability to start them under saddle. When it comes to foals I can halter break them, teach them to lead, stand quietly for hoof cleaning, bathing, clipping, tying, and loading onto a trailer as well as getting them ready for under saddle training. I specialize in the NATURAL gait and do not use artificial gimmicks. Working with a variety of aged horses gives me the ability to work with any age group and/or mind set. I have trained many foals for the show arena always walking away with blue ribbons in the trail courses and halter classes. I believe that a horse should have proper manners and respect, but should still get to be a horse. I treat all horses as individuals and are all handled with respect, patience and understanding. I also have a lot of experience working with what I call problem horses. The horses that fall into this category are those who have behavior problems, loading/trailer problems, confidence issues, stifle problems, and aggression problems. Most are fixable but there are some that go beyond my expertise. If I don't think I can fix the problem then I will tell you my honest opinion and direct you in the right direction. I am very good at matching people with the right horse and can find a horse to suit you if looking for an addition to the family. I am proud to announce that I have teamed up with Walkers West Farms in Kaufman, Texas and I am now taking on new clients. Let me get your horse up to speed, so you two can start enjoying the ride.
