On Saturday, March 30, 2013, Willow Oak Stables in Palmyra, Virginia will host a workshop for riders, and parents of riders, interested in Dressage or Western Dressage and may be planning to go to their first show. The workshop is entitled "Enter at A". It will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The workshop will be presented by a panel of clinicians who will give classes with interactive participation from the audience, along with demonstration rides where participants can fill various roles of show officials and also learn how the tests are judged. At the conclusion, participants will have the general knowledge necessary to go to their first show and be well prepared.
The workshop fees are $30 for adults, $20 for children ages 12 through 17 attending by themselves, or $40 for family (parent and child together). Discounted group rates are available for Pony Club and 4-H members. Fees include course materials and light refreshments. Participants will need to bring a bag lunch. Willow Oak Stables will be hosting several local Dressage and Gymkhana competitions this summer. Dressage classes start at 10am and the Gymkhana kicks off at 2pm. Join us for a summer of fun competing with friends and enjoying sportsmanship! We have set 2 show dates for now. April 14th and May 5th with more to come!
