Lessons will be provided for beginner to intermediate rides. Lessons will be provided to people aged 6 and up. Lessons will be provided to teach riders how to ride safely and effectively. Riders will be taught more then just riding. They will learn how to care for the horse and equine welfare. This will create a competent horse person. Lessons will be taught in a progressive manner riders moving up through levels as they learn new skills.
One hour $25 with lesson horse $35
Half hour $15 with lesson horse $25
Theory Nights Will be provided for current clients as well as non-clients. The fee for clients will be $5 for non-clients it will be $15. The only requirements is you bring yourself and something to eat! Every theory night is potluck. Theory is a great way to learn about horses without having to ride. The company will offer two to three theory nights a week that are geared towards different age groups. The company will cover many things a rider should know such as rider fitness, lunging, grooming, tack, tack care, grooming, grooming for a show, first aid, trailing and trailer safety. Students will also be able to suggest something that can be covered.
Willow Creeks Wee Riders for children aged 2-6 years. Is 30 minutes in length and includes the horse already being tacked up. Just come and Ride. They learn to stop steer and control the horse but with the safety of one on one instruction. They are always on the lead line. This is a fun and interactive way to keep your little ones busy and get them into horses. It is $20 for a wee riders session.
Because the size of riders we ask they bring a bicycle helmet to ensure a good fit.
Boots should be worn at all times
Run, Jump RIDE is a program offered through HCBC that we will be offering. for children aged 6 â€“ 12, where children learn fundamental movements and skill development to help them excel in their riding. The program offers a variety of â€œoff the horseâ€ activities for young riders, to help develop their motor skills while learning horse related topics.
Some of the activities include:
â–ª Grand Prix Jumping (kids jump a course of jumps)
â–ª Kentucky Derby (a fun running race)
â–ª Feed the horse (bean bag toss into feed buckets)
â–ª Water Bucket Race (fill the water buckets from one end of the arena to the other)
â–ª Dressage test (kids participate in walking, trotting and cantering a dressage pattern)
â–ª Trail course (A combination of running, jumping and throwing thru an obstacle course)
â–ª The program is 3 weeks in length
â–ª Cost is $60 for the three weeks
â–ª Children are not required to be in a lesson program but must be interested in horses.
A minimum number of 3 is required to run the class
Show Program This is for very dedicated students. They must already be able to tack up independently and ride at the walk trot and canter. A certain level of commitment is also involved as shows are EARLY in the morning and you must prep your horse and equipment.
There are some initial investments suck as proper foot wear, helmet, jeans and a western top. How ever students should already have proper riding boots and helmet.

Working student Willow Creek Equine Services sometimes has opportunities for riders to work off some of their lessons. While this is an opportunity to students we expect students to treat it as a job. All volunteers/ working students must have a current first aid certificate. Anyone working in or around the horses under 18 must have parental consent.
Here is what we expect of you:

â–ª 2 weeks notice is required to miss a weekend
â–ª To come with a lunch
â–ª Must be able to tack up a horse one your own
Must be able to turnout horses (Except the 13 and under)
Depending on the amount of time student are wanting and or able to put in will deturmen how much of their lesson fee they will be able to work off.
