I am a certified Equinology Equine Body Worker (EEBW) and Equine Sport Therapist (EST) based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Within each session I often utilize a number of techniques, from basic massage, soft tissue work, stretching, aromatherapy, flower essences, to energy work and more!
I believe that an equine therapist is only one person in your horses wellness team. This team includes the horse owner, veterinarian, farrier, dentist, stable manager, trainer and all others dedicated to bringing more understanding into your horses world. I also believe that a holistic approach is essential to provide care & improve performance on all levels; physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually.
I have taken a number courses in my training. Most notably these include completing the two year BC CET program and working to complete my Level III Equinology Certification. As well as training in energy and nutrition based courses.
As a professional member of the IEBWA I carry liability insurance. The IEBWA is an international association that serves the equine community by setting high standards of professional conduct, training, and requirements for continuing education for equine body work professionals. It is included in this viewpoint that body work is not a replacement for veterinary care.
