Santana is a finished speed event horse, will run just about any pattern you put in front of her. She knows her job but is easy to ride, would be fine for a younger rider that knows what they are doing. Would make a great HIGHSCHOOL RODEO or JR. RODEO horse. This will be the horse that you can throw your leg over and come running! She needs little to no help and runs in just a little hackamore with no tie-down, push her to the pocket and she will peel the paint off of a barrel or pole. This mare has a great handle, a push-type personality, and a rodeo horse motor! Has a lot of rate and has never run past a barrel, very consistent. She has run Barrels, Poles, Arena Race, Texas Barrels, Cones, Stake Race and more. She is a fun horse to ride, no alley/gate issues, and will walk around the grounds all day until her turn to run, then walk out of the alley and walk around some more. Will crow-hop a little when excited, so I would not put a very timid or very little rider on her, but I would call her suitable for anyone 10 and up that has ridden barrel horses before. Great YOUTH or OPEN horse. Santana has spent the past year running with a 9yr girl. She will do the patterns at any speed you ask for. Santana needs little to no maintenance, she can run barefoot or shod.
